Status update · for Brian

The MVP, two weeks in.

Prepared for the 24 August call. This is the honest current state, not a polished report — one thing genuinely isn't known yet, and it's named as unknown rather than guessed at.

The sequence since we last spoke

10 August was the call where you saw the build live, as “Anna,” walking the 7-step method.

One week of stability isn’t enough data yet — that's the one honest unknown.

Three moves, already in motion

All three launch or continue this week. None of them wait on each other.

Warming up

New email domain

The old one got spam-listed. The new one is 2 of 6 weeks into warm-up — not safe for full volume until mid/late‑September.

Live this week

Social campaign

Showcasing the new app, new branding, and new website. Doesn’t touch the email domain at all.

Live this week

Affiliate program

Commission on discount-code use, plus a free adventure in exchange for documenting the experience — acquisition and content in one motion.

Why this order

Method

Social and affiliates go first because they cost almost nothing — that's the real reason, not a workaround. Lean Startup: treat the MVP as a hypothesis-testing engine, run the cheapest tests first, adjust daily or weekly on what comes back.

Paid ads are planned, deliberately later and hyper-targeted — not the broad cold audience originally sketched, but aimed once the cheap channels say where to aim.

The question for Brian

The email domain won’t be safe to use at volume until after the ~10‑Sep deadline. Does the traction-test window flex to match, or does the email/list tier drop from this round in favor of social + affiliates + alumni — none of which depend on the domain?
